Since 2016, Cassopolis Main Street has played a vital role in generating a sense of community pride. Currently, Cassopolis Main Street hosts 7 events a year; Beach Bash, Rock the Block Summer Concert Series, Christmas in Cassopolis, and the Stone Lake Ice Fishing Bowl. Main Street does not have any employees, all of these events are planned and executed by dedicated volunteers in cooperation with the Village of Cassopolis. The Imagine Cass projects breathed new life into the events planned by Main Street by creating vibrant gathering spaces for all to enjoy.

Cassopolis Beach Bash
Beach Bash is a two day event which started in 2021 to celebrate the grand opening of Stone Lake Beach. Festivities include live music, a beer garden, food trucks, free kayak/paddle board/paddle boat rentals, a free kids area with inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy, snow cones, and touch a truck, and fireworks to go out with a bang. Beach Bash has been a great success with no plans of slowing down.

Rock the Block Summer Concert Series
Rock the Block is hosted on one Saturday per month, July-October. Two live bands play on the beach pavilion stage, a beer garden is created out of a vintage Sinclair Station, and food trucks set up at the beach food truck row. New this year – local organization and non-profits completed a ‘Tap Takeover’, running the beer garden in exchange for all of the tips. This has been a successful fundraising opportunity for organizations in our community such as Little League, Parent Teacher Organization, Athletic Boosters, and Project Graduation.

Christmas in Cassopolis
Christmas in Cassopolis is a fun event for the whole family. Activities include an elf scavenger hunt, ornament decorating, visits with Santa, free presents for all children, free hot coco and cookies, a performance by the high school jazz band, and a tree lighting ceremony.

Stone Lake Ice Fishing Bowl
The Stone Lake Ice Fishing Bowl is hosted in January of each year, given there is enough ice to host the competition. The competition starts at 6am and participants brave the cold, eager for the chance to win $500. This year the three winners spanned all ages, with the youngest being 13 and the oldest being 81. The Ice Fishing Bowl is a great way to bring people together in the winter months and utilize our natural resources year round. The awards ceremony is hosted at a local restaurant so participants can warm up and patron our local establishments.
